In the summer we are primarily outdoors at North Dock and the River Tawe. During the winter months we train indoors at Ammanford and Penlan Leisure Centres.

To play canoe polo your shoulders must be covered, you can wear a t-shirt or rash vest and a swimming costume or shorts.
If you want to use your own equipment it must meet canoe polo regulation standards.
Session prices are listed below, you can attend up to 3 sessions before you’ll need to become a member of the club.
We will provide all of the equipment you’ll need including a Canoe Polo Kayak, Buoyancy Aid, Paddle, Spreydeck and a helmet with face guard. We’ll also have plenty of balls available for use at sessions.
Instruction and guidance to our members will also be provided for members no matter what your ability.
Pool sessions are £12 on a pay as you go basis or £35/month. You will choose 4 sessions per month and specify which pool. If you attend additional sessions they will be £8.50.
Example 1 – if you subscribe and choose 4 sessions at Penlan and then attend 2 additional sessions at Ammanford, you will pay £35 + £17 = £52.
Example 2 – if you do not subscribe and attend 4 sessions you will pay £12 * 4 = £48.
Example 3 – if you subscribe and choose 2 sessions at Penlan and 2 sessions at Ammanford and no additional sessions, you will pay £35.
Example 4 – if you subscribe and choose 3 sessions at Ammanford and 1 at Ystradgynlais, and attend an additional session at Penlan, you will pay £35 + £8.50 = £43.50.
Example 5 – if you subscribe and choose to attend 4 sessions at Penlan and 4 sessions at Ammanford, the cost will be £35 + £35 = £70.
Our current main session is held at Penlan on Sunday. Let us know if you don’t have your own transport and we’ll see if we can help.
For beginners and those wishing to practice skills you are also welcome to attend Tawe Kayak Club‘s Ystradgynlais session on Friday’s when there is spare capacity. You can find more details for all three sessions below.
